| Grew up in Scituate, MA. Where his dad and brother were fishermen. |
| He went to college at Ithaca College (NY) and the University of Iowa. Bob says he has, "a BS (no wisecracks now!) in Music Ed, a MA in Music and a MFA in Music |
| Currently Bob is retired and a self-proclaimed: fuddy-duddy/ part time low brass instructor-Coe College/volunteer ESL tutor

Bob has fond memories of his first concert with the EIBB, "playing Berlioz March to the Scaffold (I never saw so many notes in one concert-now it is more or less routine-see Journey to Freedom)., Filling in for Bransky on Euphonium for 2 consecutive concerts in a day, Simoraine, Slaughter on Tenth Avenue."

Bob is an active Quaker, working on peace and economic justice issues. Corporation Board-American Friends Service Committee.
He is married to Deborah Dakin professional violist and teacher at Augustana College.
He is the father of four interesting kids:
Karl-Testing Specialist Broward Co FL-speaks 3 languages-walks his dog on roller blades-world traveler.
Evan-Campaign Communications Director UFCW Washington DC. He can womp me in Trivial Pursit every time.
Alan-Political Organizer Tom Udall for Senate Clovis NM. Bass player-gourmet chef (a great catch ladies)
