Judy Stine Tenor Horn

| Judy is a founding member of the EIBB. She started playing with the group in 1984, before we got our official name. | She started playing tenor horn at that time. Her "birth" instrument, as she calls it, is the French Horn. She wants to keep playing with the band as long as possible. |

| Judy grew up in Aurora, IA. |
| She receieved her BA degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. |
| Judy is a retired music teacher. |

Judy fondly remembers playing at the Festival of American Folklife in Washington, D.C. in 1991. But says that she would rather forget the time the band played in the full sun at high noon in 100 degree heat at the Grant Wood Arts Festival in Stone City, IA.

Judy says, "I've been married to Done Stine for 39 years (I was 5 years old at the time). We have three adult children. "I taught elementary general music in Cedar Rapids for 5 years and junior high music and band in Mt. Vernon for 31 years. I'm now retired. "In addition to the EIBB, I also play in the Mt. Vernon Municipal Band adn occasionally, the Czech Heritage Band adn various other ensembles. "Besides music I enjoy shopping for antiques, working with minitures, baking ,writing and tyring to organize my husband. "I once rode an elephant at the county fair and my real goal in life is to become a housewife,"
