Keri says that just about every rehearsal is a memorable one. She comments, "From wise cracks to drawings of phallic objects on the board. I love that we're a one big disfunctional crazy family. Kind of like band therapy. AHEM!!!"
She has a memory of her first long distance trip with the band;
"My first US Open trip, my husband decided to come along. We were sitting in the auditorium and Dan was sitting behind us. All of a sudden Dan started rubbing Lonnie's arm. He wasn't sure how to react. I started laughing, I still think he's in shock. Needless to say, he hasn't attended many more concerts and he steers clear of Dan."
On a more serious note, Keri says. "I will always remember the concert we played Amazing Grace right after the passing of our former director's father. It was a crappy room and it was 120 degrees in there, but we played it beautifully. Brought many to tears and goose bumps."
Other memories for Keri;"US Open 2006. The morning after....and that is all I have to say about that. , Russlan and Lud uh.....just kidding."
In addition, Keri says, "I love hymns and some (I said some) transcriptions from Percy Grainger and Ralph Vaughn Williams. I'm kind of old school like that. Anything that really shows off our superior tone and true beauty of the brass band. I do enjoy the up-beat big band dance tunes though. Especially when Steve dances or dresses like an old woman."

Keri goes on to say,
"My wonderful husband Lonnie puts up with my brass banding most of the time. We'll be married 5 years in 2008. He works at Cornell College as the head men's and women's track coach and assistant cross country coach. We have two crazy boys, Baylor who is almost 3 and Brody who is almost 1. In my, "spare" time I design fabric, play dinosaurs, train for a triathlon, draw and do photography. I also love being outside, fishing, kyaking, Cardinal's baseball and playing with our two beagles. If I had a few hours to myself I would drink good coffee, eat expensive chocolate, take a bubble bath and read girlie magazines....maybe in 18 years."
